5 usage of Tea Tree Oil

Essential oils has miraculous ingredient and can be extremely beneficial for our health. The Tea tree essential oil is antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antiviral, balsamic, expectorant, fungicide, insecticide, and stimulant. However, the benefits are not limited there. There are umpteen other benefits of Tea Tree oil (TTO).

1. Skin care:

TTO possess excellent antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic properties. Acne can be caused due to external factors such as dirt, bacteria, chemicals in cosmetics, unhygienic living habits, over or under exposure to the sun, etc. TTO helps to get rid of acne marks.

A simple, wet ball of cotton dabbled with TTO and rubbed on the affected parts of the skin can be very beneficial in a short span of time, if used regularly but not overdone.

2. Head and foot care:

You may be surprised to know that even the most hygienic and cleanliness preferring person can sometimes suffer from problems that are caused by bacteria. Some people tend to neglect the parts of the body that might cause such skin problems. Problems emerge in the form of dandruff, itchy scalp, toe fungus, smelly feet or scalp, hair fall, cold sores and oily scalp.

All of these can be avoided with regular application of TTO. Even nails on your hands can be cleansed and maintained properly with TTO, which is why TTO is found in sprays, manicure and pedicure products, shampoos and conditioners.

3. For babies :

If used diluted and in a prescribed manner, TTO can be extremely beneficial even for tender babies too. A baby needs the most amount of cleanliness when it soils itself. Selecting the right diapers and changing them regularly are not going to be enough – you also need to ensure that the private parts of your baby remain very clean so that there are no rashes or any other skin afflictions in those regions. A good way of ensuring this happens is by using an extremely diluted mixture of water and TTO. The bins in which you dispose diapers too can be kept clean and free from malodour by using a TTO spray.

4. For clothes :

Our clothes may look clean when washed and pressed but bacteria and fungi are cunning little organisms – they find the trickiest parts of your clothes to hide in and multiply. A good way to ensure that your clothes are clean after a wash is to add a couple of drops of TTO in water while doing your laundry. Clothes also smell better at the end of the day!

5. Home cleaners :

Though most of us work really hard to keep the common surfaces such as floors, windows, tables and chairs, furniture, home accessories, etc. spotless, we still find it hard to keep them shiny as they used to when we bought them or remove the really tough stains. Don’t worry because TTO can even help deal with a number of your housekeeping problems too! For example, if you could spray a mixture of TTO on shower doors to ensure soap and foam does not accumulate on them.

Other uses include adding TTO in sprays to be used on all surfaces as a disinfectant to keep them free of insects, ants and other pests, to clean the most toughest to remove stains on your floors, to avoid mold exposure and to clean the personal hygiene accessories such as bathing scrubs and toothbrushes.
